DESCRIPTION:Head down to The Grand on Friday nights to help us raise funds and awareness for our community. All proceeds raised will be donated at the end of the month. \nFrom Friday 24 January – end of February\, we are raising funds and awareness for: Fight4Jon \n \n\n\n\n Fight4Jon is raising funds for Jonathan Catania…A young man battling the relentless progression of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) \nSince his diagnosis at the age of just 21 with ALS\, the most common and aggressive form of MND\, Jon has faced a devastating battle. MND has taken away his ability to walk\, move\, speak and even breathe independently\, making each day an extreme challenge. He is now 26. \n  \nJon’s spirit however remains unbreakable. Against the odds\, he’s launched two exciting startups\, proving that although MND has robbed him of most of his physical capabilities\, it hasn’t diminished his extraordinary spirit and determination.  \n  \nWith every passing year\, Jon’s needs become more complex and the financial burden on his family grows. The funds we raise are critical to helping Jon access specialised medical care including alternative treatments and therapies that allow him to keep fighting and living as fully as possible. \n  \nEvery dollar raised goes directly to Jon’s care. Your contributions will help fund the specialised care Jon requires\, allowing him to maintain a quality of life and pursue his passions despite the heavy toll MND has taken. It is also Jon’s pledge to make an annual donation to The Florey Institute where they are working tirelessly towards the ultimate goal of a world free of MND. \n  \nBy supporting Fight4Jon\, you’re helping a family navigate an extraordinary challenge.
